You are a reader now! You know six letters and their sounds. Today we will read lots of words and use them in sentences. Emeka is so proud of himself — he can read the word "sit" on the classroom wall!
📚 New Concept
Reading words step by step:
When you see a word, point to each letter, say its sound, then blend:
Word: sat
- Point to s → say /s/
- Point to a → say /a/
- Point to t → say /t/
- Blend: /s/-/a/-/t/ → sat!
Read these words:
- sat — "Bola sat on the mat."
- pin — "Do not step on the pin!"
- tap — "Tap the table three times."
- nap — "The baby is taking a nap."
- tip — "The tip of the pencil is sharp."
- sit — "Please sit down."
- pan — "Mama cooks in a pan."
- tin — "The beans are in a tin."
- sip — "I sip my water slowly."
