Emeka and his twin brother each get the same pocket money. Whatever one gets, the total is always double. If each gets ₦5, the total is ₦10. If each gets ₦8, the total is ₦16. That's the 2 times table!

The 2 times table:
- 1 × 2 = 2
- 2 × 2 = 4
- 3 × 2 = 6
- 4 × 2 = 8
- 5 × 2 = 10
- 6 × 2 = 12
- 7 × 2 = 14
- 8 × 2 = 16
- 9 × 2 = 18
- 10 × 2 = 20
Notice: all the answers are even numbers — they end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. Multiplying by 2 is the same as skip counting by 2s!
Example 1: 7 × 2 = 7 + 7 = 14.
Example 2: 2 pairs of shoes means 2 × 2 = 4 shoes.
Example 3: Amina buys 8 oranges at ₦2 each: 8 × 2 = ₦16.
