Letter o:

  • Shape: A round circle.
  • Words: on, ox, hot

Letter u:

  • Sound: /u/ — a short sound: /u/ as in up, us
  • Shape: A curve going down and back up, with a line on the right.
  • Words: up, cup, run

All 5 vowels: a, e, i, o, u — every word needs at least one vowel!
