  • r — /r/ as in rain, red

  • t — /t/ as in top, ten
  • u — /u/ as in up, umbrella
  • v — /v/ as in van, vest
  • w — /w/ as in wet, water
  • x — /ks/ as in box, fox (usually at the end of words)
