What are Sight Words?

Sight words are common words you should recognise instantly without sounding out. Many don't follow phonics rules.

Key Sight Words for Grade 4

  • Group 1: because, through, thought, enough, although
  • Group 2: different, important, together, beginning, another
  • Group 3: between, country, example, question, without
  • Group 4: children, something, government, beautiful, everything
