Paragraph Structure

1. Topic sentence: Tells what the paragraph is about
2. Supporting sentences: Give details and examples
3. Concluding sentence: Wraps up the paragraph

Example Paragraph

Dogs make wonderful pets. They are loyal and loving companions. Dogs can be trained to do tricks and follow commands. They also help keep us active by needing walks every day. For all these reasons, dogs are a great choice for a family pet.
